Wellfield Botanic Gardens’ Winter Wonderland Holiday Lights presented by Welch Packaging will transport you to a magical setting of lights, sound and beauty, perfect for families to enjoy during the holiday season. Featuring professional light displays accentuating the natural beauty of Wellfield, the ½-mile Promenade Pathway is aglow with color and texture, framing our Garden spaces as you’ve never seen them before! Experience this new tradition with family and friends as you sip on complimentary hot chocolate while enjoying the sounds of live music performed by local artists around the Promenade. Warm yourself around crackling fire pits stationed around the Garden trails and enjoy a boutique shopping experience in the Visitors Cottage, a great place to pick up that perfect gift. Ticket pricing includes parking, admission to the Gardens, and this very special opportunity to enjoy Wellfield after hours in a wintery paradise.

Have questions about the event? We’ve got answers!
If I buy tickets and cannot attend on that night, what do I do?
Your tickets are able to be rescheduled to another night; simply call us at 574-266-2006, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your preferred date, and we will change them for you. No hassles!
I forgot my printed ticket at home – do I need to turn around and get it?
No need – when you arrive, go to the pre-paid line and give us your name. We will have you on the list!
Do we need to be there right at 5:30?
No! Your tickets are good for any time between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.
How long does it take to see the lights?
Our main path is 1/2 mile long, and our gardens wind in and out of that path. Some people have seen the lights in 20 minutes, some people have stayed for 2 hours. It’s up to you, your schedule and how much time you want to spend in our Winter Wonderland!
It’s 4:30 p.m. and I want to buy discounted tickets for tonight – why doesn’t it show up on the website?
Online sales for discounted advance tickets end at 3 p.m. on the night of that event. Full price tickets may still be purchased at the door that evening. Our Visitors Cottage re-opens at 5:30 p.m. for the event.
Will the show go on rain or (star)shine?
The short answer is yes, but if the weather is frightful and conditions are unsafe, we reserve the right to close. Please check our Facebook or Twitter page or call us at 574-266-2006 to check before you head out in a rain or snowstorm! And if we do close one night, you’re able to reschedule your tickets for any other night (see above).
Can I take a golf cart tour of the holiday lights?
We cannot provide golf cart tours of the holiday lights. While there will be a golf cart onsite for emergencies, we cannot have a cart on the route for safety reasons (darkness, families with small children, narrow pathways, and golf carts don’t mix). Two loaner wheelchairs will be available in the Visitors Cottage and are available on a first-come, first served basis. Other personal power-driven mobility devices (personal electric “scooters”) are permitted as normally allowed.
Are dogs or other pets allowed at Winter Wonderland Holiday Lights?
No. Due to congestion, darkness, and leash trip hazards, pets are not permitted at holiday lights or other special/ticketed events.
Where should we park?
Our main parking lot fills up quite quickly, and most of the spaces are handicap only. While you can use our lot for drop-off and pick-up as needed, we recommend parking at Dometic’s lot on the NE corner of Simonton and Main; it’s a short walk to the Gardens from there. Please be careful crossing the street!
