Taste of the Gardens – Artists 2022

The Elkhart Rotary Club and Wellfield Botanic Gardens will celebrate the 13th Annual TASTE OF THE GARDENS fundraiser on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. 

To Apply as a Displaying/Selling Artist:
This is a juried art show; your completed application does not guarantee entry. Artists will be selected by the Artist Committee by submitting a minimum of 3 photos of your works for consideration.

Deadline to apply: Applications must be received no later than Friday, July 22 to participate.

Selling your art:
Simple. You sell your art and keep 100% of your sales. Help us create a larger audience by sharing our event on social media, tagging us in posts, promoting the event through your website, or simply by word of mouth. We highly recommend having the ability to take payments by credit card (i.e. Square® or similar app) as there is no ATM onsite. Please note Wi-Fi is not available, though major phone carrier signals including Verizon and AT&T are quite strong at Wellfield.

Artist awards, paid by check the day of the event:

  • Purchase Award #1: Best Expression of Wellfield Botanic Gardens – $500
  • Purchase Award #2: Best Overall – $500
  • Best Booth Display award: $100 prize

Judging:
Judging will take place at 11 a.m. on the day of the event. Each booth may designate up to 3 works for judging by placing a Yellow Dot Sticker (provided by event volunteers) on the pieces you’d like to enter. Judges will judge at 11 a.m. and award ribbons will be placed on the winning pieces and best booth display. Winners names will be posted on a physical sign near the exit and acknowledged on social media, and will remain on the event website until the following year. Purchase Awards will be paid to the artists by check during the event. The Taste of the Gardens juried show is intended to be a “Fine Arts” show; submissions that may be deemed otherwise by the Artist Committee will not be accepted. Examples may include: jewelry assembled from bought components, items portraying logos or other commercial expressions, or any items that do not appear to be “one of a kind” or “hand-made” by the displaying artist. The Taste of the Gardens committee reserves the right to decline artists that do not meet these criteria. Thank you for your understanding.

After submitting the form above,  just two more steps:

  1. Email a minimum of 3 photos representing your work for consideration by the Artist Committee to info@wellfieldgardens.org. Please include

  2. PAY ONLINE HERE or mail a check payment, payable to Wellfield Botanic Gardens, to:

Once your artwork is reviewed by the committee, you will be notified of your acceptance; If accepted, you will be notified by the committee and provided further details about the event and your specific set up time that morning. If declined, your check will be returned to you (or refunded fully if paid online).

Remember, applications must be received no later than Friday, July 22 for consideration and to be included in our marketing efforts.
