It’s called Taste of the Gardens; restaurants are at the heart of this event. Michiana restaurants have a unique opportunity to showcase their “best bites” at this event, and your chance to try something new!

Taste of the Gardens’ frequently asked questions:

Can we bring chairs?

You’re welcome to! We’ve also got folding chairs available at the concert venue and under the tent where the food vendors are. Food/coolers may not be brought in to this event.

Can we get tickets when we arrive? How does ticketing work?

Yes! Tickets are available at the gate, or online (click any of the “Purchase Tickets” links on this page) in advance, and we’ll get you scanned in when you arrive. Ticketing is simple – purchase your admission tickets, then purchase food and drink tickets for whatever you want to drink or eat while at the Taste. Items from our bar are sold the old-fashioned way: cash or credit.

How does the food & drink ticketing work?

To sample the different bites our food vendors are providing, you’ll purchase food & drink tickets, which are worth $2 each, and are available in packs of $10 (5 tickets per pack) and $20 (10 tickets per pack). Each food item is “priced” at 1-3 tickets. Purchase your food & drink tickets in advance (click any of the “Purchase Tickets” links on this page), at our admission tent when you arrive, or at select location throughout the Gardens.

Water and soft drink stations are located throughout the Gardens, and a cash bar provided by Navarre Catering & Events is also available. ATMs are NOT available at Wellfield, but you can pay for admission, food & drink, and bar items with credit card or cash.

Where should we park?

We’ve got a complimentary bus shuttle running continuously from Northside Middle School and the parking lot at the northeast corner of Main/Simonton (or you can just walk over from there) to our admission tent.

Can we bring our dogs?

NO. Due to crowds, heat, noise – this special, ticketed event is not the best place for Fido. Please don’t make our staff or volunteers disappoint you, and leave your dog at home. Thanks!

What if it rains?

Taste of the Gardens will go on, rain or shine. If weather is severe, we reserve the right to cancel or delay the start of the event. In the unlikely event (really, we don’t want to jinx it, but we’ve never had to) we have to cancel, your admission ticket is good for general admission to Wellfield any day up until August 25, 2024.

We hope you enjoy the 14th Taste of the Gardens!
