Four Winds

Among the many flowers at Wellfield Botanic Gardens, you may notice several pots overflowing with annuals in various locations. These have been given the special touch of the Four Winds Garden Club (FWGC); a group of about 20 which began in 1967. FWGC is active in the community, most notably taking care of a public garden on Beardsley Avenue in Elkhart. Every spring, they conduct an annual plant sale to benefit Wellfield. Another of FWGC’s big events is a yearly auction, the proceeds of which allow them to offer scholarships to students pursuing a degree in Horticulture.

Gardening, socializing and community are at the center of Four Winds Garden Club. Always open to new members, anyone interested in joining the group can contact them at (574) 326-3089. Wellfield is grateful to Four Winds Garden Club for their contributions to the local community and to the gardens at Wellfield.
