If you have not visited Wellfield in the past couple of weeks, you have missed the flurry of activity occurring in our Japanese-themed Island Garden: bridges being built, concrete paths being poured and another section of garden planted. Contractors, staff and volunteers (including a group from Goshen College) have been working diligently, helping to build the west side of the future Island Garden. Planting what I call the “little island” proved a challenge, as accessibility became restricted due to a steep slope on one side and water on the other. Please enjoy this slideshow of our recent activity, and come out to the Gardens to see the changes for yourself!
