Dealing with Furry Critters with the Munchies

I was recently asked by a visitor via our info@wellfieldgardens.org email address how we manage to keep our furry mammalian Elkhart residents from eating everything in sight. Here was my reply:

We have our share of larger animal grazing pressure. We deal mostly with rabbits, woodchucks and geese in our gardens, but we do have some issues with muskrats and even beavers as well. The short answer is there is no foolproof way to keep all animals from eating the plants in the garden. There are a number of different strategies we utilize to minimize the amount of plants eaten.
