Where has this summer gone? I cannot believe it is August already (but football is coming, so it’s all good!). If you have not been to the Gardens lately, do make some time to come out – as one of our visitors said to me this morning, “It’s all mature out there, and it looks spectacular!”
So what is going on in August? Well, let me tell you.
If you’ve always wanted to walk the Gardens on Sunday morning, stop by THIS Sunday, August 6th, when we will be open special hours of 9 am – 7 pm.
For those who are into the arts, we have Shakespeare in the Gardens, presented by the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival Touring Company. They will be performing Twelfth Night on Sunday, August 6th at 6:30pm. The 80-minute modern take on Shakespeare’s classic comedy features live music and a talented cast of collegiate actors. Join witty fools, foolish wits, and one set of shipwrecked twins as the NDSF Touring Company feasts on the food of love. Admission is Free, and the show is family-friendly.
If you are looking for some relaxation and invigoration, check out one of our Health and Wellness classes! Yoga in the Gardens meets Sunday 2-3 pm, Tuesday 5:45-6:45 pm and Saturday 9:15-10:15 am through September 30th. Register here. Our newest class, “Walk and Awaken” Tai Chi and Walking Meditation, is getting rave reviews! Join us every Thursday from 10-11 am through September 14th. Click here to register.

Our Thursday night Groovin’ in the Gardens Concert Series just gets better and better! With only 4 concerts to go, now is the time to head out and enjoy some great music under the tent. Our gates open at 6pm, with the concert at 7, and you can buy tickets the night of, or pick them up early and avoid the line – click here.
Of course, August wouldn’t be August without Taste of the Gardens! This year’s installment of food, drinks, music and art in the Gardens is sure to be the best one yet. Get your tickets now to save some money on admission by clicking here, and join us on Saturday, August 26th from 11 am – 6 pm.
