Usually, we reserve Monday for posts about how much we love and value our volunteers; truly, we would be nowhere without them. But we’ve got some new items in our gift shop that warrant a little extra attention! We are so excited to add a new, exclusive line of jewelry to our gift shop at the Visitor’s Cottage. These are one-of-a-kind sterling silver pieces created especially for us by Stefanie Buysse from Art + Elements in Mishawaka. You may know Stefanie’s work from Taste of the Gardens; her metal piece, “Etched in Metal” won best of show last year at the Taste. That piece is available for purchase in our Visitor’s Cottage; stop by and see it during your next visit. I saw Stefanie’s jewelry at Taste of the Gardens and knew I had to talk to her about designing jewelry for us. Lucky for us, she was happy to take on the task!

Stefanie visited Wellfield earlier this year and gathered various items for inspiration: twigs, bark, acorns and leaves. She then returned to her studio and created molds of the natural elements she discovered, and used the molds to create unique earrings and necklaces which reflect Wellfield in its most natural state!
