July is Jumpin’!

Summer is in full swing at Wellfield! Now that the big, LONG, holiday weekend is behind us, check your calendar against ours and see what events you would like to attend!

Our Groovin’ in the Gardens concert series has gotten off to a fabulous start! Join us tonight, July 6th for the Tumbleweed Jumpers – tickets available by clicking here, or tonight starting at 6pm at the Visitor’s Cottage. Our full schedule can be found here.

Meet at the Visitor’s Cottage this Saturday, July 8th at 8am for our 2nd Saturday Bird Walk, led by Mary Kauffmann-Kennel. Registration is available by clicking here, or you can just show up at 8am! Bird Walks are free with your admission to the Gardens, and are always free for members!

Our Yoga classes have been super popular and are so relaxing! Join us Tuesdays at 5:45pm, Saturdays at 9:15am or Sundays at 2pm. Register for any class by clicking here and choosing the date you would like to attend. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no Yoga class July 9th.

Are you interested in learning about Beekeeping? Here’s a great opportunity! Learn from our very own beekeeper, Steve Pearson, during our Intro to Beekeeping Class. It’s a 3-part series, held Tuesday, July 11, 18 and 25th from 6-8pm. More information can be found here. Register for the class by clicking here.

We are happy to be the host venue for Envirofest next Friday, July 14th from 5:00-9:00pm. For more information or tickets, please click here. PLEASE NOTE: Wellfield Botanic Gardens will close early to prepare for this event! Our hours on Friday, July 14th are 9am-12pm. Thanks for your patience.

On Tuesday, July 18th, we have two programs for the kids! Lil’ Sprouts will be held at 10am; join us to learn about Worms and Soil Aerators. Registration for Lil’ Sprouts is appreciated so we can plan for supplies. Register by clicking HERE. And at 6pm, join us for Storytime in the Gardens – in conjunction with the Elkhart Public Library. Both programs are FREE!

We are really looking forward to Walk and Awaken – New to Wellfield! This will be an 8 week, drop-in series combining Tai Chi and Walking Meditation, led by Marisha Fortner-Schmidt. Classes begin Thursday, July 27 and run until September 14th. Classes will be held from 10-11am. You do NOT need to sign up for the whole series!
